Worries about age when ttc?

Hi everyone! I'm 30 and my partner is 44. We've been together for 6-1/2 years, neither of us has children. We recently decided to ttc and last october we were blessed with our bfp! We were so excited, but sadly, we started miscarrying on Dec 1st at 10 weeks. We definitely want to try again, but i was wondering... Should i worry about the daddy's age? How old is too old to conceive?

There isn't an age to conceive! 
For women: when the menopause arrives. One of my colleagues had her first with 45 and the second with 47! ?
For men: when there aren't any more spermatozoa alive! Jean Paul Belmondo had his last child with 70!
You need to check yourself is the only way to tell!
Semen analysis aren't expensive 50-100$. You can even take the appointment for your partner and since men are a little bit childish about it, be smart and tell him to get the analysis done so that the Doctor can move on to assessing your fertility. ? It's actually the truth! Our fertility Doctor, where we went 1 month ago, was impressed that we already had all check ups (hormones, diseases, semen analysis and ovulation track) and told us that most of the people check up themselves for the first time when they visit the fertility Doctor. We ended saving a lot of time and money! ? I got scheduled a laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy 3 weeks later. Everything is fine with us, therefore we got the diagnosis of "Unexplained Infertility". You may think that I am at the same point as in the beginning,  but no. To know where you stand and your health decreases stress and anxiety. Now we know that we just need patience and keep trying!? or do an IUI (what our Doctor wants of course! ?) We think that fter 1 year trying we will move to an IUI.

Christine, condolences for your loss. I don't feel age has anything to do with it because there are many couples having children at various ages and the kids are healthy. Sometimes our bodies don't perform at it's best at times. I'm 29 and my husband is 51 and we are TTC right now and the doctor said there is nothing wrong with him. His age had nothing to do with the fact that he could not produce healthy sperm. If you want to put your doubts at ease ask your Obgyn to put in a lab for your husband to get a semen analysis. They will test his sperm and tell you his sperm count and health. I hopes this helps. Baby dust to you when you try again!

I'm so sorry for your loss! I will say age gaps  has little to nothing to do with ttc when you both feel is right and if he has no issues with him being that old to begin a family I say go for it. My husband is 42 and I am 24 and expecting our first together and could not be happier. Good luck to you and again sorry for your loss
