Going to a bar alone?

So there's this jam session tonight at a bar. I want to go with my friend (we usually go to bars together) but she isn't responding and idk who else to go with. I was wondering if it's a good idea to go alone? I'm planning to go and meet new people I'm 20.

Yes go! It will be good. Gain some confidence, meet new people. At the very least you'll enjoy some live music and won't regret not going to it. If it's uncomfortable or you don't like it, you don't have to stay, you can leave whenever you like. Benefit of being 20! Lol :)

I'm not the "go to a bar alone" type of girl but I think it's alright. My room mate used to do that all the time. I think it's best to not get drunk, just in case. Also, don't leave your drink unattended.

Go for it! I lived in Spain for awhile and its a lot more acceptable to do things alone there so I got used to eating out, going to movies, getting a drink etc. alone. I think since you'll be listening to music that's a perfectly acceptable activity to do alone! Go and have fun!!

Sure just don't get drunk it's a dangerous world out there and predators are always on the look out for a vulnerable woman. It's a bonus if she's alone and extra if she's drunk so less likely to fight back effectively. Stay safe!
