I've written poetry for as long as I can remember. Its my own way of healing. I used to be too shy to share my stuff, I found it too personal. These days I don't mind as much. I'm sort of in a writing blockage ever since I've had my son. But that's not such a bad thing. My writing usually comes from a very dark place inside of me and wounds need to be opened in order to find it all.

Here's one. .

Ivte wandered through places most dare not go
Crawled through dark spaces
Etched memories of strange faces
In a temple hidden on a slate of plain granite
Golden fortress most would take for granted
Walk a mile in my shoes and prove yourself a recluse
No point in tracing the imprint of today
When all you've ever dreamt of gets lost in the stones of yesterday
Vixen lips sink ships
Or was it a spill of truth that bagged the youth
Drink from that cup and lose a wisdom tooth
I speak in code, let's this and let's that
Quote my words and they'll make you wanna test that
Test that, taste that
It's the facade of illuse
Elise, she never leaves
Step in side of side step - she's the dark secret you wish you never kept
Pulled a tarot and you got the justice card
Your paintings speak of a maze discard
Love for disregard, put your self down gladly
Hes burning at the tip
How did that melody go, dont you love him madly?
I'll speak of you less and watch your spirit regress
I am the temptress and I rule madly
Pave your way into this mental cave
Paint your way into this hidden maze
You etch your name inside me
You get your way despite me
And if I'm the angsty ocean, then you're the waves that ride me
Twenty years old and I'm guided blindly
Twenty years old, times that tenfold
I fell from deep space your blank gaze feels like home
Into your depth
Forever will I roam

I like poetry. I'm still currently working on my poems, but, I'm way behind on them. I'm not really finished with them yet.
