birth control that won't make you fat!?

Can anyone suggest a birth control that 1. Works 2. Won't make me fat and 3. Stop my period or make it less heavy.. that's all I want really! I've asked my doctor and he's given me some options but I just still don't know and need to make a decision soon . Please and thankies

That is a risk with all hormone birth control. Condoms won't make you fat. Unless they fail.

I was onthe mirena for 5 yrs and did not have a weight issue. There were times when I went months without a period and when I did get it, it was really light. I loved it.

they don't make you fat. It might make it hard to lose weight or make it easier to gain weight if you don't eat right or exercise. getting pregnant will definitely make you fat tho lol

I was on depo for 4 Years no period no weight gain but my legs got big I had to buy new jeans. But someone else was happy with it lol. good Luck

Hormonal BC (like the pill) has different reactions for everyone. A friend of mine started losing weight dramatically when she started on one pill (she was already slim and fit so it was not at all a welcome side effect) while I couldn't stop eating for the first fortnight. I didn't keep the weight on though

I've heard the shot makes you gain weight, but I really think it varies girl to girl. I didn't gain any weight on my birth control. I'm about to start a different pill prescription so I'm curious to see if it will make me gain at all. I was on orthotricyclen lo. It worked really well, my insurance just decided to quit paying for it. I grew my boobs and made my acne go away almost completely except for a spot or two on my face. It didn't make my period go away tho and I was always pretty regular, so I can't speak to that, but I was pretty happy with it.

Honestly now body can truly say how a certain birth control will work for you everyone's body reacts differently. My sister and best  friend both have mirena my sisters periods stopped all together whereas my best friend still had one.
