Random bleeding?

My son is 5 weeks and I had stopped bleeding about a a week or 2 ago but maybe 2 days ago I started again. TMI but it smells like period blood .. Could this be my first period or is it too early?

I thought I had started mine (I had stopped bleeding around 3 weeks for almost a week and then started again but it was different, more like a period.) but it slowed down really fast and now I'm thinking my bleeding just stopped and started up again. I'll be asking my doctor at my 6 week follow up.

Has it stopped? 
I bled for 10days afterwards but then had spotting once a week until about week 6. 
It should be your period it's too soon, if it's more then spotting you should probably get it checked out just incase.
