I am a identical twin. My twin and I were born at 30 weeks. She was 3 pounds when she was born but aside from the birth weight she was perfectly healthy. I came in at a whopping 2 pounds with under developed lungs and possibly a heart condition. (currently going to a cardiologist to see if I was born with heart problems due to recent episodes of high resting heart rates between 130-160) 

Anyways, I am currently 27 weeks pregnant with a perfectly healthy baby girl. We weren't trying, this little miracle made it through two types of birth control! She was meant to be. First pregnancy and aside from my heart we have both been perfectly healthy. 

My twin on the other hand has been trying to conceive for over a year. She's had 3 miscarriages. One when she was 17(unplanned pregnancy), one when she was 19 and one when she was 20 (2 months ago). She says that she was told that she has a genetic abnormality and that she may never be able to have kids of her own due to being born prematurely.

So my question is "is it possible for one identical twin to have to have a genetic abnormality when the other one is perfectly healthy?"

I don't want to believe that my twin is infertile. I want her to be able to experience anything she dreams of without any set backs. Please help me.
