Umbilical Cord Cutting

Has anyone looked into not cutting the umbilical cord right away after delivery? I was reading it's some what of a slight shock to the baby when you immediately cut of the blood flow and should wait a few minutes to let all of the nutrients, etc drain (or whatever the proper term is). Is anyone else choosing this method? Or does it not seem worth the extra hassle?
