Can you do a water birth and still get an epidural?

I knw this may be a dumb question but I really wanna do a water birth but I can't take the pain lol.

No, because the epidural numbs you so you wouldn't be able to move yourself out of.the tub incase there was an emergency. Also generally with epidurals, from what I have seen/read your monitored thru your whole delivery and have a catheter.

Most places probably not. Especially since you'll be numb, it's more of a safety thing. You could probably labor in a tub and then when the pain gets to be too much you could get your epidural. But they most likely wouldn't let you deliver in a tub while you deliver.

No. The epidural and IV sites have to be kept clean and dry to avoid infection. If you really want a water birth, my advice is to begin working with a doula and take birthing classes that teach you pain relief techniques for an unmedicated birth.
