What do you all think is the best age to wean your child off of kissing you on the lips? I've been observing some controversy on Facebook about it recently and thought I might as well ask here!

I kissed my mum on the lips till I was in my mid teens. I never realised it was unusual

I dont remember ever kissing my parents on the lips, maybe when i Was A baby... But i know that in brazilian culture it's totally normal no Matter how old you are haha !

Never really had this issue due to me having divorced parents and my mom having custody of me and my brother (even though she doesn't have this app, shout out to her!!!)

I did it until I was like ten, I started noticing my friends only did cheek kisses so I honestly felt super weird about it. Now looking back it's not a big deal at all but as a kid I was pretty embarrassed.

I don't think you have wean them off. I know plenty of adults who still kiss their parents in the lips. I honestly don't see why it's a big deal.

I kissed my dad on the lips until puberty (we're SUPER close) and at that time it just felt kinda "gross" or funny to me because 1) none of my friends really did any more and 2) I liked boys so I felt like it was time to move on to other boys haha

Um normally about 7 or 8 they kind of grow out of it... You could wait till 9 or 10 though as well, it's whatever your family is comfortable with
