Medicaid racket?

Every single time my baby goes to the Dr they find "something wrong". She's constantly having tests done and seeing specialists and there's rarely anything wrong, and they never have answers to give me. She's only 3.5 months old. She needs a break! Are they being cautious, or are they screwing with us because her insurance is government paid? Any similar situations?

They are being cautious! She is too little and she can't say what she feels and what's wrong so they have to figure everything for themselves! Also medicaid doesn't really pay much and more and more private practices don't except medicaid patients for that reason! I hope that helps!

I too find some conspiracy behind state insurance. When my son was born, my (now ex) husband had just started a 3 mo out-of-state training at a Federal police academy. Our old ins expired after 30 days and we weren't eligible for federal health ins until he completed training. So I had to get state ins so we were covered (I was pregnant at the time). The hospital tried to run a hundred tests on my baby and even insisted he have a spinal tap for a "fever" he never really had. I was so furious I had to sleep in a chair for 3 days in the NICU to stand guard so they wouldn't do anything to him. I couldn't let him out of my sight. I always felt like they tried to take advantage because the State was paying the bill, and not a private ins co. So, yes, beware of that! It's your baby, so if you feel like they're doing that, switch Dr's.
