26 hours of labor (when I started timing contractions) and 10 hours of pushing!

Chelsey
I went to the dr for my 38 week appt. and he told me that I was 4 cm dialated but my blood pressure was on the high side so they would send me to the hospital to be monitored and they may induce me later that day if my bp didn't go down. I LOVED Being pregnant so when I left his office I started crying because I wasn't ready to have her yet; I went home grabbed my hospital bag and headed to the hospital to be monitored. 2 hours later they discharged me and told me to take it easy (They put me on moderate bed rest) and they would induce me on Friday (my birthday). I went home and figured out everything I needed to get done before Friday and made a to do list and decided to start on it the next day. I woke up early that morning with some cramping in my back but I thought it was due to how I slept (I fell at 24 weeks pregnant and cracked my butt bone so I had lower back pain all of the time) so I went back to bed and got up around 7 and took a warm bath 2 hours after being in the bath and the cramps not letting up I started to think maybe this was contractions and not cramps I started timing them and they were 5 minutes apart. My sister (her kids) and my mom came over and stayed with me until my contractions were 3 minutes apart and we headed to the hospital. I got there and they checked my cervix and told me I was still only 4 cm but I wasn't in labor I was just dehydrated so they gave me water and told me to walk the halls. I didn't even make it down to end of the hall and started throwing up ( I threw up everytime I had a contraction for 15 hours even with the nausea medicine) so I went back to the room and asked to get in the tub (which was amazing btw) my niece (4years old) stayed by my side and held my hand and would tell me I was doing great and while I was in the tub she would pour water over my belly. At 7 that evening a new doctor came in and decided to check me while I was in the tub and told me I was at an 8 and soon it would be time to push. At 10 pm he helped me out the tub I was at a 10 and we started to get ready to push. As I was pushing they kept losing the baby's heart rate they would make me switch positions and when that didn't help they ended up having to put the fetal heart rate monitor with the probe on top of the babies head. The baby's head was getting stuck on my pelvic bone so the dr decided to break my water to help things go a little faster after trying to break my water for a few minutes he ended up getting it but there was so little water left that things had "dried up" ( my water was leaking my whole pregnancy) so he then decided with my baby hitting my pelvic bone it might help to add some amniotic fluid to help "cushion" her head so they put more fluid inside of me and I pushed for 7 HOURS straight! At 5:30 the dr decided if I couldn't have her within the next hour he was going to have to give me a C section so he gave me the options of either getting an epidural or a c section so I opted for the epidural. The anesthesiologist did not want to give me one because I had been 10 cm dilated 7 1/2 hours  but the dr told him it was either that or he would be prepping me for the C section. I got the epidural at 545 and started pushing again at 6. After another 3 1/2 hours of pushing I finally got to see my precious baby girls face! ( her forehead was swollen and bruised from where she was stuck on my pelvic bone and her head was a little oblong due to being in the birth canal for so long)
