Birth Story 💗 Second time mom.
Sadie Grace made her arrival on Monday July 18 2016 at 5:52 pm. Weighing 8 pounds 4 ounces and 21.5 inches long. Â
I'm going to start my story on Saturday the 16th I went to L&D to check to see if my water broke. I swore it did. But after the strip test I guess I just peed myself. Which I know is totally normal. They checked my cervix and I was 1 cm and 30% effaced. Which means no change in over a month. I went back home (husbands family reunion was  in town and we were staying at a vacation rental over the weekend) I woke up Sunday morning and thought nothing of the night before and started my day as usual. Taking care of my 3 year old daughter and spending time with family while everyone was still here. During the day I felt nothing. But at 6:15 that evening I started feeling slight contractions nothing to painful and they were about 5 mins apart. I thought it would be a good idea to go back to our house just incase something major happened. At 2:00 am my contractions stop completely and I decided to try and get some sleep. At 8:30 am I was woken by a painful contraction. My Mother and sister in law were coming over later in the morning but decided to call them and let them know I needed them to come earlier to help with my oldest while I labored at home for a while. I had a doctors apt at 11:30 and had my best friend take me contractions when from bearable to extremely painful in the 10 mins it took for me to get to his office. Doctor came in and looked at me and said "you're in labor, why did you come here" I said I wanted him to check me to make sure j was really in a or. He checked me and I was 4 almost 5 cm and 75% effaced. He sent me directly to the hospital. They admitted me and was in my room at 1:00 pm. They let me walk around and labor for an hour. They gave me an epidural at 2:00 my husband got to the hospital at 2:30 and they broke my water at 2:50. I was still 4 almost 5 cm and 75% effaced. My mom and grandma were driving from LA to Las Vegas at this point and I swore I was not going to have her until my mom was there. My mom got to the hospital at 5:30 they checked me at 5:40 I was complete Doctor came in I pushed 6 times and Sadie was born. No tearing.Â
The second time around was so much easier. I already knew what to expect and how to push. I was beyond calm and collected.Â
Life is now complete with baby girl number two. Big sister is so good with her. The transition for far has been a breeze.Â
