When did you go to the hospital for labor?

Did you go as soon as your water broke?

Did you count contractions before you went? How far apart were they?

All stories are welcomed, I love reading them :)

My doctor told me to call if my water broke that I didn't have to rush to the hospital. So I did that and I was told that you have 12 hours before you absolutely have to be at the hospital. But for some reason I wasn't having contractions even though I stay pretty active. She said to go when active labor started or to go to the hospital by 1pm if still nothing to be induced. I had my princess at 7am the day after being induced. She is wonderful and perfect!

I was 39 weeks and 1 or 2am in the morning I had light Braxton hicks... they were consistent most of the day and never went away.. around 6 that night I started to feel pain which made me believe  it was the real thing... contractions got stronger and closer together.... I lost my mucus plug around 8pm and around 11pm I couldn't  take the pain anymore so I went into the hospital.. I was already 8 cm and  had my son 45 mins later with no drugs..

I labored at home as long as possible. That's what my doctor said to do since it's way more comfortable at home than at the hospital. I just took a few warm showers and walked and bounced a lot. Once I did get to the hospital I was already 7cm!  I'm going to do it again this time too!

I went into labor at 3am 9/24/11 but it was mild .. I went to the hospital at 6am was sent home because I was only 1cm and wasn't moving. Got home the contractions got worse went back to the hospital at 8pm my water broke while I was there and I had my son 1:55 9/25/11.

Come in when contractions were three to five minutes apart, and one minute long. So I came in when they were three minutes apart, and delivered three hours later.

I was induced with 3 of my 4 but with my 3rd child I was 38+6 at exactly 12pm her father got.home for lunch I felt kind of strange like I had to pee but a little different. I went to pee and well after I stopped peeing it kept dripping! So I let him finish lunch and then we went in. I had to argue with the nurse that it was my water and I was stain in the bathroom and we'll I told her to go test all the water that just spilled in he floor. Pitocin was started 30 min later because I had no contractions. By 130 am my midwife said if u don't progress soon u will have to have a c section. I went from 7 to 10 by 2am! Had her at 232am! She is 7 now. Natalia Araceli and she is the crybaby out of the 4 of them

I went to my birth center after five hours of active labor; I timed the contractions, and when I got to 3 minutes between them and they were getting too uncomfortable to stay still through, I went.

Spent 3.5 more hours laboring on a birthing ball and in the labor tub. Then two hours pushing, on a birthing stool and on my back.

Baby came out, husband caught her, and laid her on my tummy. Her cord was so short, she couldn't lie on my chest! So we waited for the blood to finish pumping before he cut the cord and I got to hold her. Went home four hours later. :)

Still have no idea when or how my water broke.

I actually went in for my 37 week check up and when the doctor checked me out, he found that I was already dialated to a 3.  He had me go to lunch and walk for an hour.  I came back and I had dialated to a 4.  He sent me straight to labor and delivery (as I live 2 hours away from the hospital) and I had my baby boy at 540 am the next morning!  I was induced at 4 pm.
