Is light spotting ok??

I'm currently at 5w2d. This will be my first pregnancy (aside from a miscarriage in Dec 2015) so I just don't know what to expect. IS light, pink spotting at this stage normal? Should I contact my OB? Any advice from mama's that have been through a successful birth would be appreciated!

I was having brown spotting over the weekend at 5 weeks. It's always a good idea to all your doctor with spotting. My midwife offered an ultrasound, but I'm choosing to wait until 7 weeks. I did have hcg levels checked today and I'm going back wed to compare. I'm crossing my fingers that everything is ok for the both of us!

Light spotting and cramping is very common in early pregnancy! If it gets heavier, brighter red, or you start passing any clots or tissues, contact your OB! (I work at an OB/GYN office 😊)

Not to scare you but I would go see your doctor. My miscarriage in April started with pinkish spotting :( good luck!

I spotted at 5-6 weeks with my DS pregnancy. Everything was fine! 
At this stage the only thing they will tell you is to observe it and if it gets red and abundant go to the office because you are probably MC. I went to the doctors office really scared when that happened to me, and they were not really optimistic. I stressed out for a week and then had an us and everything was OK. Sometimes doctors don't really give you the peace of mind you are looking for.
