Im considering getting a repeat c section so I get the 8 weeks off from work, partially paid by short term disability. But then again I can't afford daycare for 2 kids ($480 a week) and it would kill me to put my 8 week old baby in daycare for 9 hours a day 5x a week. Plus our nursing relationship would suffer or come to an end (I'd try to pump but yeah..) If I don't return when do I let my employer know, I don't want to piss them off but I need my short term disability pay. If I were to stay I would ask my boss for a raise (which I deserve as a valuable member of the team) or say I need to go somewhere else to make more money (for daycare!), not sure how she'd take that... What's a girl to do?
