Stomach not as hard anymore??

So last night I was getting contractions but not enough to go in to labor and delivery they were 15-20 mins apart and at times went away for an hour or so.. I was also having pelvic pressure and my stomach was tight and hard. I went to sleep and woke up now my stomach feels softer then usual and no contractions or pelvic pressure?? I'm going to be 38 weeks tomorrow... Any idea why this is?? Baby is kicking more then usual as well...
