24 hour urine?

Has anybody done this and all was well , went in today my feet swollen blood pressure up and now they want 24 urine ? Just wondering if anyone had this and what happened ? Dr said might deliver depending on results

Yes i had to do it at 32weeks,, i guess they just wanted to check that i didnt have preeclampsia... My doctor had told me that i had to do it because im on the border line of GD... But in the end everything was well,, now im 38 weeks & 3 days

Just finished my 24 hour urine on Monday. Started 7:30 Sunday morning and finished Monday morning at 7:30. It was sooo fun going to a movie on Sunday morning and not being able to pee until I got home. 😂 also got blood work done Monday and an extra ultrasound tomorrow to still make sure everything is ok. Have fun with the collection, worst part was the running back and forth to the fridge because the urine needed to also be refrigerated. Hoping everything comes back ok and won't need to be induced.

I went in at 27 weeks to L&D and stayed over night to be monitored and do the 24 HR urine. Because my bp is still a little high they had me do the 24hr urine at 30 weeks and again at 32 weeks. Each time they have come back with no protein. Due to me being diabetic and bp high they will continue to monitor until baby is born. I'm also on bed rest.

I had to do this before with my first pregnancy, with me - they were making sure I didn't have preeclampsia. They had found protein in my urine sample, and high blood pressure, way higher than usual. So I was sent to get my heart rate and blood pressure monitored for a few hrs and they sent me home with a big empty gallon to fill up and bring back in 24hrs.

It does often come back normal but if not your dr might consider an induction.
