it doesn't seem very irregular just have a short cycle. I'd go to the doctor to try and get on birth control to try and lengthen it

Sometimes your period suddenly acting funny is a sign of some underlying illness/issues. If it isn't normal for you for it to be really long and starting on the wrong days, i would see someone about it.
