So this guy I am dating is amazingly wonderful. We met on a dating app and it's been so terrific. He's funny, has a great smile and laugh, an inspiring father to his son. We've been trying to link up lately and it seems our schedules are all kinds of messed up when it comes to matching open times. I'd rather have it be out in public than at our homes since all of this is semi new (we have been on dates alone but we want to involve the kiddos now) but I had finally agreed to go to his house and swim and grill. Well I ended up getting stuck late at work and it rained … so we decided okay let's just grab a quick bite at a restaurant and he could come over to my house (for the first time … my brother is in town so it made me feel better about it - being the first time over and all - I know, I'm a weirdo sometimes. I mean I've already been with him out and about. LOL). Well I got nervous about it because, to me, it was getting late. It was about 9:30 and I had to work in the am. So I told him let's just plan this out for a better time. He was okay with it but was a little let down because he already "left the house" … we agreed I'd call when I was ready … so he ended up staying out and going to a buddies (earlier that day he told me he was linking up with him that night).

Long story short … he didn't come over (mainly because I wasn't ready to have him in my home). He ended up staying out and hung out with his "buddy" until about one and he didn't answer my texts for hours. Meaning he responded to my texts until nearly midnight (from 9:45ish) and his last text saying he was home was at almost 1 am.

I have no reason to doubt he was just chillin with his dude … but this is also new and there's a few reasons he may be with another female.

1. He's newly separated

… okay so it's only one reason but I feel it's a big one. Being separated for only a few months after being married for all your 20's can have some running wild .… plus he said "I don't want you to have to stop talking to your guy friends, and I shouldn't have to lose all my friends that are girls" - understandable for aquaintances - not for guys/girls trying to date me/him

But it could also be something serious that we have (because he's showing me nothing but amazingness) and he was just with his friend and I'm just over analyzing because of how I've been treated in the past. Hence this poll.

Am I just freaking out because of the past??

Is he really a good guy??

Or could he possibly have been with a lady last night??
