Referred to specialist at the end of pregnancy?

Whitney
I'm curious if any other mamas had a textbook pregnancy until the very end and then were referred to a specialist? I'm currently 37+5 and was just referred Monday to a Maternal/Fetal Medicine Dr. for tomorrow and I'm freaking out. Every ultrasound and test along the way have been normal according to my OB. I had a growth scan at 34 weeks because my fundal height was measuring 40 so the OB wanted to get an idea of the baby's size. He said he was measuring a little big but that everything was fine. I specifically asked if there was anything to be concerned about and I was assured that he was healthy. Monday he repeated a growth scan and then told me his head was measuring large and he didn't think anything was wrong but wanted me to see a specialist to be sure. He gave me no indication as to what they would be looking for. He only stated that he was sending me there proceeded to check my cervix(while I'm in tears thinking something is wrong with my baby) and then walks out. The whole conversation took less than 5 minutes and I was in such shock that I couldn't process the thousand questions I now want to ask. I'm grateful the specialist is working me into their completely booked schedule, but I'm so incredibly nervous. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience? I'm looking for some encouragement.
