Why is this app very heteronormative?

Question

I have been so many posts lately asking questions on Lesbians and LGBQTA community but the quizzes themselves and sex tips are for only straight people? There so many things that I seem not to find information on safe sex as a lesbian. Many of of my gay friends don't even know about dental dams.Can we please have a section on LGBTQA or more inclusion in the sex talks?

There is no heteronormativity. It's not always about dividing people and a lot of times, people divide themselves over their personal preferences. This for the most part, is a community built on women who are either trying to conceive or trying to keep up with their menstrual cycles and/ or pregnancy which is not a common topic when it comes to people of the LGBT community for obvious reasons. It's nothing against those of lgbt and I often see a lot of polls about sexual preference, lgbt, and even quizzes over it. I'm tired of people complaining about heteronormativity on a community linked to pregnancy and menstruation problems. This community has nothing to do with heteronormativity but common health issues or concerns due to unprotected sex which would not effect a same sex couple in terms of late periods or pregnancy. If you would like to see more lgbt in the community, create a page. That's why they give you the option to do so. This is a community. You have as equal a part as anybody here. So if something does not fit well with you, create a post that welcomes bis, lesbians, transsexuals or pansexuals rather than acting as a victim of unfair circumstance. Nobody will mind. Nobody cares what sexualpreference  you are. That is all 🤘🏼

Probably because most people who need protection from pregnancy are heterosexual and most gay and lesbian couples don't need contraceptives. (Unless one of them is trans and not on hormones).

Which app are you using? I've seen advice and quizzes that are more universal, I'm using Eve. Dental dams are as much for straight people as anyone else and most of us haven't heard of them or use them either. Sex Ed for women is always going to include a lot of information about birth control, it's important and it's not done to exclude anybody.
