Join my "BMI over 30" group

Gunce • Head of research at Glow. Unwilling infertility expert. 2 kids after 6 IVF treatments.

I am looking for ladies to join me on a healthy weight quest. If interested please comment in this thread and I can send you an invite. Or scroll down in Health ALL TOPICS in Groups and click to join the "BMI over 30" group that I just created.

Many of you know me from the community. I am the Head of Research at Glow. And I am overweight. My BMI is over 30. (Ugh!). It wasn't always this way . When I was 18, I weighed a 110 lbs.

But then my PCOS kicked in, and then each of my six IVF cycles and two pregnancies added an extra 10 lbs each. So here I am, with about 50+ lbs to lose to get to my ideal BMI - and I cannot do it alone. I just can't.

Believe me, I've tried everything. Every weight loss effort, even some drugs. But PCOS is cruel. I can work hard to lose 5lbs over 2 months. And then within 2 days it will be back. It's discouraging and demoralizing.

But I know I am not alone. There are others in this community who want to lose weight too.

I hope we can do this together.

UPDATE: Yeay to the over 100 people who have already joined. There have been too many requests and I cannot invite you one by one, please join the room in the GENERAL HEALTH section, all the way down, called "BMI over 30" - see you in there.

Here is what I promise to do. I will post the latest research in weight loss in my new group: "BMI over 30".  I will also create polls and topics.

And I would love it if you joined in. I think together, we may be stronger than we are apart.

I want to do this. I want to do it for my two lovely amazing children. Can we do it together? What do you think?
