Why is my mother-in-law such a hypocrite???

Question

Is there a special "mother-in-law rant" website or blog or discussion group? Coz I tell you, I need to let all my frustration out, otherwise I'm afraid I'm gonna literally  blow up one day... I'm trying to calm myself down for an hour after my mother-law left our house... For every frickin thing she has a comment that clearly tells me: I'm better than you, I do better than you, bla bla bla... 
Why does she always have to make feel this way? 
I'm 5 m. pregnant with my second, I have a two year-old and my stepson who stays with us on weekends. My mother-in-law lives with her husband and daughter who has a 5 y.o. son. 
And she always compares herself  to me: in her house there's always home-made food... Her kids never fell, her kids were always well-mannered, her house is always clean even with toddlers, etc. 
Forget about pregnant you with a sick 2 year old who couldn't sleep well because of high fever, coughing, etc. She says she came to check if her oldest grandson (my stepson who never eats home-made food) had dinner today. And don't you dare forget to offer her food, drink and all that. 
And the most annoying part is I guarantee you there's no home-made food at her house right now. She always tells all kinds of crap about how she's better but at the end I always find out it's not true.
I have to bite my tongue and just try to ignore everything she says.  Sometimes it works, but a lot of the time it boils my blood. 
Like when my toddler fell and had a bruise, she told me "how come in a house with two adults (my husband and I) you let him fall?? You can't even take care of him" or " my kids never fell". And then a week later my toddler falls and has a big bruise on his forehead at her house where there are 3 adults... 
It may seem like nothing, but i can fill several books with moments like this: where she has to make me feel like crap every time I see her.

At least it is the mil and not your own mother! My mom trys to make her self feel better by saying hateful judgemental crap like that about everyone and every thing.

My MIL is the same way. She's always giving her opinion even when not asked for. She always compares my kids to when she raised her boys. I have learned to let it go in one ear and out the other... And for the fact that yours said her kids never fell, I don't know one other person whose Kid has never fallen, even when they're learning to walk they end up falling quite a few times before they get it.... Have you said anything to your husband about it? He needs to stand up for you and let her know that you guys don't need her opinion, your already raising 2 children and they are just fine, and plus it's been a long time since shes raised kids herself and a lot of things changed since then.

My MIL is the exact same way. She does it to me and my SIL. My SIL is a bit older than me but my Mil talk shit about her to me ALL THE TIME. She is always being a smart ass to me and my step daughters mom. It's so bad we have literally all got together to fight her. She is always making plans for all the grands with consulting the parents first. She has literally told me she raised my niece and her parents didn't. She will do anything to make herself feel better than other people around her. I think it has something to do with not being able to have children anymore. A lot of old woman act that way. Once you realize you can never have children again maybe you want more. Your not alone I promise

Also you need to check out baby centers DWIL...... Because no ONE deserves to be degraded regardless if its the next,door neighbor, a stranger at walmart OR even your MIL!  I would of told her to mind her own business and stop lying and DEFINITELY see her a shit load less like 4x a year.
