Back To School. Advice?

I go back to school in 3 days. I enjoy learning but I dislike almost everybody at my school. They are so messy and will try to start something for nothing. My school is middle school and high school combined. 7-12 grade. I've been there for 2 years already and I'm going into 9th. My whole 8th grade has been filled with drama. I got into a fight and people are all into my business. I'm tired of people talking about me and I know I'll snap if I hear my name being dragged through dirt. I plan on going to school with my head held high and a friendly smile on my face but I know that won't work out.. I need some advice on how to deal with idiots.
