Induced anyone?

Question

Anybody voluntarily being induced? If so, how far along will you be at the time of it, and what are your doctors opinions on it? I want to be induced the evening before my due date so that I don't go overdue. My doctor will only be on call that weekend and my due date is his last day on call. My husbands family and my own both have bad histories with overdue babies and their size and having to get csections. Also, mine has been measuring 2 weeks ahead for the last 2 months (I'm 8 months now). I'm bringing it up to my doctor at my next appointment, but just wanted some outside opinions.

During my pregnancy I fell at work and injured my knee really bad to the point of needing surgery. Because all of my weight plus extra weight was being put on my "good" knee. It ended up giving out also. I've been off my knees no walking since 6 months and in so much pain because I can not take anything. 😕my doctor is going to induce me at 37 weeks when baby is considered "fully baked".  I'm not worried about people judging me because of the whole baby can come when he's ready thing. Honostly know one knows what goes on in my daily life. I am a mother of a 7 year old daughter who also needs me. I need to be healthy to keep everyone else healthy. So if my TRAINED, & PROFESSIONAL OB tells me he can come early. He's coming early.

I will me induce  because I have gestational diabetes. She also believes the baby is big. So at 38 weeks

You should look into acupuncture to help with inducing. This is what I'm going to try if I need to be induced again!! Lucky I have small babies. But I was induced because of preclampsia at 38 weeks. My body was not ready at all. It was a 3 day procsess before he was here. I was having full contractions but it took 48 hours for me to fully dilate. By the time I was ready to push, my uterus ended up giving up do to working so hard for so long already. I would do anything this to not to be induced!!

I was induced at 39 weeks with my son and wish she would have done it a week earlier bc of his size. My Dr even said she should have bc I had to have an episiotomy that ended up tearing more and had a ridiculous amount of stitches😩 this time around my doctor said he would monitor my baby's size carefully and would not let her get too close to my sons size and induce me either a week or two early depending on size. You can always ask and make it clear about your worries. That's what I did from the beginning of this pregnancy and my Dr has been more than okay with making things more comfortable for me. Good luck☺️
