Rice cereal in infant bottle?
I've been thinking a lot and researching a lot online about putting baby cereal in there night time bottles to help promote sleep and also help with acid reflux , my mom had six children me being the youngest and by four weeks she would put 1tsp of baby cereal in our bottles around 9pm and we would sleep like angles till about 6 in the morning.
But my baby's doctor is complectly against it says nothing till 6mounths , he's completly laughing at my research and my mother. With my baby having both colic and acid reflux we are lucky if he gets 9 hours of sleep a day and he will only sleep on me sadly so you can see where I'm getting no sleep.
ANY help would be greatly apprciated!! Thank you in advance !
UPDATE:: his doctor has cleared one at night for his severe reflux once he is 2 months. And every doctor is different but I'd apprciate if people would stop with the grandmother remarks ! My mom had six children and has raised two of my cusions, I do believe she is not clueless! Her babies had reflux and extreme colic so she is not clueless , she may not be a doctor but she's had enough babies to know not to play into all the new baby scare tactics some doctors are known to use. I do thank everyone for the feed back though!!
