Hurting

Our basement got water this weekend and ruined some boxes we had. To make sure we protect our things, we bought a bunch of plastic storage containers. I spent a good part of yesterday packing away all of the things saved from my childhood (toys, books, etc) that I wanted to pass on to my own children. It felt a lot like packing away my hopes for the future and it hurt really, really badly. After so many years of infertility, I guess I didn't realize how much I was still waiting for that day.
