in need of advice??? (long)

Question

How do I tell this guy that I really like him?? I'm so nervous. I know he only thinks of me as a friend. I mean why else would he tell me stories about how he almost got other girls numbers. I really like him and I told him I use to have a crush on him in high school a few months back and he said why didn't I tell him before. After that we would flirt a little and he would hold my hand playfully and one day he kissed me on the forehead. But  after that it wasn't the same hes more distant then ever. Should I still tell him I like him ?

JUST TELL HIM. When me and my SO first started talking I talked about other guys cause he made it sound like he was not interested in me and I got the guts and I told him and here we are a year and a half later with a beautiful relationship. So just tell him!
