lately my boyfriend's dogs have been putting their heads on my stomach, and they never have before.

For sure! They can smell the change in your scent, my mum lives with a couple who own two big Rottweilers a female and a male and when I came to visit after not seeing them for months the girl was super protective and almost a little possessive with me, my mum came in for a hug and she growled the littlest bit! 
 And whenever the boy would come up for a pat he would constantly looking back at her as if to check if it was okay lol 😂

My dog is always wanting to be around my SO but since I've been pregnant she has been up underneath me non stop lol so maybe 💁🏽 I've heard it before
