I keep testing and getting faint positive lines on pregnancy tests

No matter what part of my cycle, I keep getting faint positive lines on pregnancy tests. The reason that I keep checking checking is that I only get one-day periods, since I've been off the pill. Has anyone else experienced this? Are they all just be evaporation lines? Could it be an ectopic pregnancy?
