Ok so i need advice?

I have just received some awful messages from my partners mum, i told her that I am civil for his benefit but I Dont want her in my life and he has agreed with me that when the baby is here she will not be involved, she has caused me nothing but trouble and most problems are because she gets involved, she is t a very good mum and everyone knows it, so why should she be involved when her life is a mess and is just a trouble maker?? am I wrong in any way, anyone else experienced things similar?!

No you aware not wrong. My mother-in-law also didn't like me for some reason and after a while my husband and I just threatened to not let her see her grand children when we have kids. If a daren't or anyone is terrible to you, you don't have to give them the privilege of seeing or being a part of your child. Especially with the chance that they may act the same towards your child also.

You're not wrong. My husband's mother is a twat. She's not involved at all. We haven't spoken to her in over a year.

My mother in law was like that and I was going to keep her out of my daughters life but I decided instead to give her one chance. I gave her some rules and I told her if she broke one that she would never see her granddaughter again. The biggest rule was no starting drama and to keep her nose out of our marriage. So far she's done pretty well and is a good grandma.
