Could you reuse breast pumps? My friend has a medela freestyle she only used for a few weeks and I am wondering what is acceptable or if I should just buy my own

Hospitals rent them out... I'm pretty sure each one of those has been used by many mothers. The parts that should be new to you would be tuning nipple flanges, membranes and collection bottles

A good friend of mine gave me hers for my first baby. I would call your insurance company, most will cover the cost of one. But honestly if you are going back to work, it maybe nice to have a back up one, or one to leave at work and one for home if you have an extra!

I used a pump with my first baby. I can remember several times falling asleep while pumping. When this happened, the bottles would over fill and milk would go into the tubes and in the machine. Im sure this doesn't happen often, but its possible. Most insurance companies will pay for a pump.

Hmm.. Thanks for both your responses I appreciate it :)  I have indeed read that on the medela site but was curious mostly  if they are just required to put that on there for FDA regulations or if it really did matter being I have heard of people reusing
