Where's my milk?

I've been feeling super down because my milk hasn't came in yet😞 and son has been so fussy. I feel like I'm not able to give him what he needs. Seems like he wants to nurse ever second of the day and it hurts so bad and my nipples are so sore😭. He always looking for something to suck on so I'm sure he's hungry. When will it get better? Where's my milk? FYI I delivered 8/6

Took mine 5 days. It will come in out of nowhere.

Mine didn't come in until the night of the 5th day after delivery. My poor guy was miserable. Literally starving. He was given two feedings of formula in the nicu after he was born and stretched his stomach so my few drops of colostrum weren't doing the trick. On the fourth day I gave him a little formula and started pumping, mixing in whatever I got with the formula. By the next night I had real milk and he was a happy boy.

You usually get it 3-4 days after delivery. You should be getting it very soon

Don't worry, you're most likely still only producing colostrum. My son fussed a lot the first few days because he was cluster feeding. Just tuck in to a comfy spot and work on breastfeeding together. Milk is on the way!
