Please need help (commemt)

I'm going to get induce do to the baby's weight at 39 weeks which is the 22th of this month I'm currently 37weeks & 4weeks but my problem is that I have a 4 year old starting pre school on the 22th & I really want to experience going to school with him his first day but I probably won't be able too due to my early inducement I have a doc appt on Thursday I wanna ask my doctor if she can induce me at 38 weeks but idk if she going to understand me due to my situation what do y'all think ?
