how do I break up with my boyfriend....
So I'm 14, going into my freshman year in highschool. Me and my boyfriend had a "thing" I guess, all of last year until we made it official 2 months ago (from yesterday)
But lately I just don't feel like it's working. For one thing, we're really young. Neither of us wanted to date in middle school which is why we weren't dating all of last year.
But I just feel like it's an immature relationship. We never see each other, we text but the conversations don't mean anything.
But I think the main reason is the fact that I don't think he cares about me as much as he says he does. I mean we're 14, yeah I get that, but I'd rather just not be dating if this is how it is.
He says he likes me a ton (I made it a point not to say I love you yet since we really don't know what love is and I don't want to just say it because) but he doesn't prove it to me with actions.
and lately I've just felt disconnected and I dont really want to waste my time on a guy that doesn't show he cares.
So that brings me to this question... How do you break up with someone who probably still likes you??
I'm not doing it over text, and I want to be as respectful and mature about it as I can in hopes we can be civil with each other later haha.
I just don't know 😂
