I just got into a long distance relationship. My boyfriend left for the military a week ago and it's been hell. He has a 4 year contract so I'll have to handle rarely seeing him for that long. Wish me luck

I was in a long distance relationship with my now husband or 6 months. We had 1 month together and I moved so the next 6 months we were 9 hours away from each other. He moved down to me and we got married and a house together. Communication and trust is the only reason it worked. It's so important in a regular relationship and extra important in a long distance one.
