Is anyone considering taking the blood test that reveals the sex of the baby??? I was told you can take this test as early as 7 weeks? I'm curious.

I'm doing the panorama one. It's originally $1000 out of pocket (since I'm under 35) BUT if your insurance is out of network they will only change a couple hundred. I'm not doing it for the sex (I don't want to find out :)). But yes! And you have to be at least 9weeks.

If you will be 35 or older when the baby is born, most insurances cover it. Otherwise, it can be costly.

I am, but not for the sex, but looking for genetic defects. They give you the sex anyway if you ask for it.

I just learned about this. Is it expensive? I'm sure insurance doesn't pay for it.. But I don't know anything about it

I'm scheduled for mine at the end of Sept! I asked for it last time and they told me it's only for high risk or over 35 moms. That's me this time! Insurance covers a portion, but you might have to meet criteria to be covered. I've heard stories of ladies getting huge bills in the mail afterwards, so check with insurance first!
