What can I eat before a glucose test?

Hi mamas! 
I'll be 24 weeks when I have my 1 hour glucose test on Friday and there's no specific instructions on if I should fast or not. Unfortunately for me, my glucose test is at 12:15 in the afternoon so I need to eat something. 
I did some research and it says to eat a lot of protein and stay away from sugars but I've also read a lot of things that say to eat as you normally do and don't try to trick the rest. 
Has anyone taken it recently at Quest Diagnostics (where they're sending me) and know if fasting is required? If so, for how long? And what should I eat/drink before?

My doctor told me to fast for mine.

I've heard to eat just protein so like eggs or something. You can always call your doctor and ask what they recommend you eat.

I had my obgyn appt at 9 am didnt eat, wasnt hungry yet, had to come back at 1pm for my gluclose screen, and still didnt eat but drank plenty of water tho, and it was over at 2 pm. Phew... glad thats over lol i hate that stuff.

I didn't have to fast but I still did any way & just ate right after it was over .

When I worked obgyn I told my patients only water and high protein low sugar foods! Eggs are a great choice!

I didn't have to fast. I ate a blueberry bagel and a cup of milk. Then I had a sandwich since my test was after lunch. I passed.

Yes fasting is required, no food or drinks. I went to quest as well. They need a complete empty stomach since they draw blood before you drink the stuff and after the 1 hour and then again.

I was 28 weeks when I took my 1 hr glucose test and was told to fast for 10-11 hrs prior to the test. I didn't pass and had to take the 3 hr glucose test which I did pass. I'm sure you could still eat though.

I was told I didn't have to fast but my breakfast everyday is a prenatal chocolate drink.   I'm scared that it's too many carbs on top of the glucose drink.   Everything else (like eggs) sounds nasty and I don't think I could trade my prenatal drink for them.  I'd gag.   I'm scared what to do!!
