I am a SAHM with an 11 year old and a 4 month old. Until baby came I was working, but we decided to live lean and try to make it on one income, which we are doing. It's a little tight, but our lifestyle hasn't taken a big hit (other than the introduction of an infant!).

An opportunity has arisen to maybe keep a 5 month old. She was a preemie (around 2 lbs) that is now up to 11 pounds. Her mom has to return to work, and her doctor has recommended in home care to cut down on exposure. Otherwise she is doing great.

I'm nervous because I've never really kept anyone else's child. My LO is EBF and we do not have a very strict schedule. The other baby is I believe formula fed. I also have a 65 lb lab who loves babies, but sheds. I am also responsible for taking 11 yr old to school and picking him up.

I'm looking for thoughts and opinions on this option. I have no idea what to charge, but it seems like a good opportunity for us to get some extra income and to help someone else as well. I would love to hear from both sides as I have been fortunate to stay at home with both of mine. Thanks in advance!
