Caitlin, I see you couldn't find baby so thought I'd help. Firstly make sure you use a lot of the gel it helps. Also move very slowly and be patient this early on you can be in the same spot and pivot one way and hear nothing pivot the other and you have the heart beat. Baby is still behind the public bone at this point so it won't be loud necessarily also a full bladder makes a world of difference. Let me know if I can help with anything else this is baby 3 and pregnancy 4 for me. So don't feel bad if it takes a while. Another thing you can do is when you see the doc pay attention to where the doc finds it I know a few girls who had their husbands find it so yeah I'd say patience has just a bit to do with it lol

Anyone tried this with twins? I'd like to cause I'm aka ways paranoid but worried it would make my paranoia worse trying to differentiate two heartbeats lol

I actually found it the first day i got it! Then the next couple times I thought I was listening to the HB but it was the placenta. And though the placenta beats just a little bit faster than my heart I thought it was the baby but of course thought something was wrong because the heart was beating too slow. I finally found the baby's HB the other day bearing over 150bpm and I was soooo ecstatic. Good luck stay patient and YES A full bladder and silent surroundings help a ton
