On vacation...forgot my thermometer...also, how to avoid drinking??

I'm on vacation right now visiting my parents (sans hubby, sadly), and I left my bbt thermometer at home!! Do they have them at drugstores? I ordered my original one online, but I don't want to miss any days if I can help it (I'm 7 DPO right now). Also, I don't want my parents to know that my husband and I are TTC (we want any pregnancy announcements to be a surprise!) and my mom loves to drink wine, especially with my sister and I. How do I avoid drinking with her?! Help?
