Epidural?💉

Are there any mothers who have gotten an epidural before? How does it feel actually getting the epidural? Just curious to how it feels.😊

Didn't feel any pain in my back I had too much pain in the front to notice. It did feel a bit cold though.

I didn't fee anything but afterwards I got a strong sense of coldness I was even shivering when pushing I could somewhat feel the ring of fire but not to an extreme so not that bad

I had one in my first pregnancy. I waiting 10 hours to get it. I didn't feel it actually get placed but then I went numb and the pain was gone. Wish I had gotten it earlier lol. But I'm not getting it this time if I can help it.

Same here, I was in too much pain to even feel the epidural placed (both times), then once it was in I was almost instantly no longer in pain at all. I felt pressure for pushing which was good but that was it. It did make me freezing and shaky both times for about 45 mins afterwards.

I had one during my first pregnancy and I was so tired I hardly felt it! And it gave me the chance to get some sleep before I started pushing..during actual delivery it was perfect. Felt every touch and the baby moving its way out but not a lot of pain. I plan on going as long as I can this time but after having such a great experience the first time I'll probably go for it again!

Since I was in so much pain from contractions, I didn't feel it at all and the relief was almost instant. It is weird not being able to feel below your waist, but I'm definitely getting it as soon as possible with this new baby.

Yes, and I will again. It's not really very painful but there's pressure and a big stick of course. Pain meds make me puke so I dry heaved a while after I got mine.

I didn't feel it and afterwards I couldn't feel a thing. Haha. I had been there for 12 hours and got it so they would check me for dilation. I was at an 8, 9 when contracting when I got it.

Didn't feel the first time bc I was in so much pain. Expected it to be the same for kid #2 and I about jumped off the table. Kid #3 it hurt too. Totally worth it though!

It's a very strange feeling:) not very painful but more like a pressure. Like someone pushing their finger really hard on your back lol
