IUDs??

Question

I have to get a Iud its my only option because I can't have hormones with the meds I'm taking for my condition I have but I've heard bad stories of painful insertion and removal and other things like the guy can feel it during sex and other things what are your guy's experiences

I'm assuming you'll be getting a copper IUD and not mirena. I only hav experience with mirena so I'm not sure how helpful this is but I'll give it a shot.

I never had any complaints about feeling the IUD during intercourse but my bed could feel the string while he was fingering me, I just had my doctor cut the string shorter. However I felt like I could feel it in doggy style and it was kind of painful.

Insertion and removal wasn't too bad but Ive had a baby so I'm comparing it to having an entire fist in my cervix multiple times per day.

During regular activities there was a bit of a poke feeling the first little while but not painful. It went away after about 2 months but after having it for 3 years I had it removed because even though it was placed properly I felt a pinch in my abdomen that kept getting worse to the point I had to leave work early and go to a walk in clinic.

Overall I still think it's the best option out there and ive tried everything accept depo and nuva ring. After I have my next baby I'll definitely get another one.
