How long did you wait to tell people?

I'm eager to tell people but don't want to tell too many people too early.

Look at it this way - how would you feel about having to tell people about a miscarriage (heaven forbid). If you are the kind of person who would tell people about the loss anyway for the supper then tell them right away.  If you don't want to have to tell them about a loss wait until after your first appointment in the second trimester where you've had it confirmed that babe is ok.
My first pregnancy we told our parents right away but then literally days later lost it and it was horrible.  Second pregnancy we decided to wait until about 9 weeks but unfortunately lost it literally days before we were going to tell our families.  We still told them about the loss but on our time when we were ready to talk about it.  Plus ot felt easier to just tell them the bad news them having gotten their hopes up again to rip it away from them (this is the first and possibly only grand child for my husbands parents)
This time we started telling family at 10 weeks (after 5 ultrasounds confirming everything was good and on track) and announced on Facebook at 13 weeks after all family had been told and we had another ultrasound showing everything was still good and on track.

I told people close to me after I took the test 😆 my mil really wanted us to have a baby so I woke her up at night to tell her I'm pregnant 😂😂😂

I had a missed miscarriage in January, so with this baby we waited to tell parents & a few close friends until after the first ultrasound. We told everyone else after my 2nd appointment at 13 weeks.

I'm going to try to wait till 12 weeks to be on the safe side, but I'm already beginning to show at 7weeks with baby #2
