First time momma, what are your necessecity baby items?

Im a first time mom and creating a registry for a shower, if previous mommas could post what they thought was a MUST HAVE for a newborn that would be so nice! I literally know nothing about babies.

I agree with rock and play.  My daughter hated her expensive swing, but loved her cheap bouncer seat, too.  I also would recommend a baby carrier.
I put a lot of work into my registry, but be prepared to not get much off of it. I received A LOT of great gifts, but only ONE item that I registered for. This was pretty common for some other moms I know, too.

A baby wrap.  I have the boba.  I do not know what I would do without it!! I can go anywhere and know that she will sleep the whole time she is in it.  Also def rock and play.  Lots of onsies.  And the best swaddle blankets are the large muslin ones.  Do not waste money on stupid receiving blankets just go straight to the muslin ones.  And diapers lots and lots of diapers!!

Yea nb diapers don't last long maybe like 2 weeks.  They are nice cuz they usually have cutout for umbilical cord.  But size 1 def goes a long way.  We are eight weeks and still using.  And moby wrap very similar.  Main difference is that boba is a little stretchy so easier to get baby in comfortably but I hear moby is great as well.

Get a rock and play. They are so nice and everyone I've talked too used them instead of a bassinet.my baby wouldn't sleep in crib, bassinet, or pack and play.  Only sleeps in the rock and play. She sleeps through the night and has since before she was two months old

Clothe diapers make the absolute best burp rags! Sleeper gowns are nice especially for night time and quick diaper changes. A lighweight bouncer to lay baby down near you at nap time. Hand sanitizer is good to keep around for both you and people that come to visit. The all in one kits with the nasal aspirator n nail clippers n such in it. Hooded towels are way easier than normal ones. The lil mitten thingys for babys hands (their nails grow fast and they scratch their face up faster) a good roomy diaper bag. Umm i could go on and on. Our lil girl is die in less than 7 weeks and we just had the shower this past Sunday. She is the 5th and final between my husband and i. Best of luck!
