Is throwing things on the floor while angry considered as a type of violence?

Are you intentionally breaking things? Or just getting anger out? Are you only throwing things that belong to the person who you're angry at? Are you aiming at someone or just the floor?

This depends on intent. If you're breaking breaking things to intimidate or scare someone else, or breaking their things, then yes, that is a form of violence, in my eyes. 
    I've broken things when I'm angry, either by accident or because I was so angry and couldn't communicate myself well enough to express it. I'd much rather break an object than hit another person, though, and I do try to limit it to things of mine if at all possible. I can repair or replace vases and plates and cell phones. I can't repair the damage done from hitting someone.

My mom had a dish set with bowls and plates; and she would smash them on the floor when she was mad. Same with cups. I've never done that tho.

I believe that it is a type of violence. Anything that has the possibility of harming someone, could be considered violence. I think it's a little bit different if you're in a room by yourself and you throw something at the floor to help you cope with your anger. I think it's another thing to be throwing anything breakable or that could harm somebody while there are other people around you. You may not think it could harm anybody, but let me tell you a story… When I was six years old, my parents had a fight in front of me. My mother threw a glass dish at the floor and a piece of that dish flew at me, sitting 6 feet away, and got stuck in my chest. So be very careful with this. If I were you I would find a less potentially harmful way to cope with your anger.
