any tips for a first time tampon-user?

my birthdays coming up and im going to a water park for 2 days but my log says i should be starting tomorrow which means i will still be on it by the time i leave. so now im gonna have to use a tampon lol. any tips?

First, don't be nervous or afraid! The more relaxed you are, the easier it will be to use a Tampon. Make sure to not get tampons that are either too big or too small. Change the tampon at least every few hours, especially if you have a heavy flow. Women use tampons all the time, so if you feel uncomfortable or strange, just know it's completely normal and natural. Read the insert in the box of tampons. If it's hurting, you didn't put it in right. Do NOT leave it in longer than 6-8 hours.
