Baby laundry detergent?

I went to pick up baby dreft laundry detergent as it's the most talked of. Upon smelling it, it reeked of a bug spray/baby wipe smell and was expensive.

I then went to smell the Purex baby detergent and this too had a strong smell to it which I don't see being good for babies skin.

I read up on this and saw it's recommended to stay away from baby detergents.

I got Purex free & clear, it has no scent and looks just like the others, and has all the same stuff minus the perfume.

Did you mommas go with baby detergent or have you too went against it due to the perfumes in them?
