Have y'all use IUD? If so how did it work for you and did you have any problems with it?

Getting my second IUD (mirena) this coming week. I love them! After about 2 months I didn't get a period the entire time I had it. No PMS or anything. Also no weight gain or adverse side effects.

I had the paragard and I loved it! I had it for 5 years with very few issues. Things to know: the first year can be rocky with spotting and weird cycles. Actually spotting was common for me before my period after year one too. Slightly worse cramps (but nothing Advil couldn't handle) but those things were absolutely fine with me knowing I was protected with no hormones and no pills to remember! Honesty I forgot I even had it most of the time. Getting it in is a little painful but over very quickly!

I was on it twice total of 10 years. Have had it removed almost a year. Honestly I liked it  pros: convenient, easy, less periods, no side effects hormonal, no weight gain
Cons: increased cramps, when getting off body takes more time to get regular again, more effective if only one partner a string hangs down after first intercourse it moved to side out of way but if TMI different sizes are it can move it or even force it out of place, also increased risk std or HIV.

All in all that's what to expect if you are in a long term relationship, married ect. Then I highly recommend it. If you are not then risk goes up. I personally thought it was the best bc for me!

My friend has used it twice and got pregnant both times it was still intact when the doctor removed it

I had the mirena and it worked great for me. I had it for 5 years and got pregnant about 5 months after removal. I had an extremely regular period while on it and had minimal cramping. It was the best fit for me but make sure to do research and talk to your doctor.
