When did your doctor start checking your cervix

Question

I am 31+3 weeks with twin girls and have a doctors appointment tomorrow and was wondering when everyone's doctors started checking if your dilated and that everything looks good.

I had cervical checks with internal ultrasound at 16, 20, and 24 weeks. My doctor said if your cervix stays closed during that time period it was a good indication that preterm labor anddilation wouldn't be a problem. My regular OB said they won't check until around 36 weeks when I start going weekly.

37 weeks but I don't have twins

When I was pregnant with twins I had an ultrasound before every appointment and the ultrasound tech measured my cervix so checking it was unnecessary.

I'll be 34 weeks at my next appt and that's when my doctor plans on checking my cervix. I guess since I haven't had any labor scares, she hasn't been concerned.
